Need help with the gigMarket app?
We're the booking platform for working DJs. If you're stuck on something or want to suggest a feature, we're here.
Email support@gigmarket.io. Typical reply time is under 24 hours on weekdays. Bugs that affect your ability to receive bookings or get paid skip the queue.
Quick help — frequently asked questions
Account
How do I sign up?
Open the app and tap "sign up" on the welcome card. Enter your email, verify it from the link we send you, set a password, then complete your profile (stage name, market, photo). You'll be ready to receive event invitations within minutes.
I forgot my password.
On the sign-in card, tap "forgot password" after entering your email. We'll send you a one-time link to reset it. Links expire after 24 hours.
Can I change my email address?
Email support@gigmarket.io and we'll handle it. We don't expose this in the app yet because email changes affect a lot of downstream identity (event invites, invoice records, push tokens) and we'd rather do it carefully.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to **Profile → Settings → Delete Account**. We fully delete your data within 30 days, per Apple App Store requirement 5.1.1(v). You can also email support@gigmarket.io to request deletion.
Events & invitations
I'm not seeing an event a venue invited me to.
Pull-to-refresh on the Events tab. If it's still missing, the invitation may have been sent to a different email address — check that the venue used the same address tied to your gigMarket account.
The Accept / Decline buttons don't show on push notifications.
Long-press the notification on your lock screen. The buttons appear under the message text. If they don't show up at all, restart your phone — iOS occasionally caches an older version of the notification category that doesn't include actions.
I accidentally declined an event. Can I reverse it?
Email the venue directly — we don't auto-reverse declines because the venue may have already invited a backup. The venue can re-invite you and you'll see a fresh invitation.
I declined "& Mark Unavailable" — what happened to my schedule?
That option also clears your availability for the event's time range. If you want to add it back, go to the Availability tab and tap the day. The "& Mark Unavailable" variant is only available inside the app — the lock-screen Decline action only declines.
Availability
Why isn't a venue inviting me?
Venues only see DJs who've marked themselves available for the event's time range AND market. Open the Availability tab and make sure your free nights are marked for the right market(s) in the right month.
I travel for gigs. Can I have different availability per city?
Yes. When you tap a day on the calendar, the per-day picker has a market dropdown at the top. Set different times for each market you play in.
How far out can I set availability?
15 months. We extended this in v2.0 so you can lock in holiday and festival weekends.
Profile & Music DNA
What is the Music DNA radar?
A snapshot of your strengths across genres (House, Hip Hop, Open Format, R&B, etc.) based on the music survey you filled at sign-up. It updates as you play more rooms, and venues use it to match you to events with the right vibe. To re-take or update the survey, email support@gigmarket.io — we don't have a self-service edit yet (coming).
How do I change my profile photo?
Profile tab → tap your photo → choose a new one from your camera roll or take a fresh shot.
Invoices & payments
How do I submit an invoice?
Open the past event's card on the Events tab → tap **submit invoice**. Times and payout pre-fill from the event. Adjust if you played longer than booked, then submit. The hiring party gets notified instantly.
My invoice was rejected — what do I do?
The hiring party left a reason. You'll see it on the past event card with a "resubmit invoice" button. Read the rejection note, update your invoice, and resubmit.
I see a partial payment — what does that mean?
The hiring party paid you part of what's owed (e.g. a deposit at the door, balance later). The progress bar on the past event card shows how much you've been paid and how much is still expected.
Hiring managers / bookers
I'm a venue, not a DJ — can I use the iOS app?
Yes. After signing in, you'll see the Booker tabs (Events, My Artists, Profile). You can create venues, invite artists, run event creation, and manage your roster from the app. The web admin at gigmarket.io still has more depth (reporting, agency management, etc.) — you'll want both.
I'm an Admin — why can't I use the app?
Admin tools are web-only. The mobile app is for the artist / booker / venue manager workflow; admin reporting and superuser actions live on the web because the mobile screen is too narrow for the data tables.
